Model receives hefty settlement as her divorce is finalized

Sadly, however perfect a relationship might seem when you get married, it doesn't guarantee it will work out. Sometimes no one is to blame and you simply drift apart. At other times, one or both partners will do something to upset the other. The important thing for couples in South Carolina to remember is that divorce is sometimes the best option. If your marriage isn't going smoothly, why not start again and give both of you a chance at a happier life?

After filing for a divorce in January 2013, model and actress Liberty Ross is finally seeing the end of it. The initial decision came after she learned of an affair between her husband and a co-star, news which she says devastated her at the time. The decision to pursue divorce was a difficult one for her, but she explains she eventually realized there was no more she could do.

The 35-year-old model has two children with her former spouse and has, by her own accounts, striven to be the perfect mother. Her divorce settlement has seen her receive over half the marital property they had amassed during their marriage. The generous settlement includes the director's share of the $2 million home the couple had owned in the Hollywood Hills.

She has described the fresh start as a form of rebirth and what better word could there be for it? South Carolina couples can learn from her example. Staying in an unhappy relationship isn't healthy and isn't necessary. Furthermore, you do not need to go through your divorce alone. An attorney can help you negotiate any disputes and support you as you pursue a fair settlement and a new beginning.
