One woman died and the suspected driver was injured in a single vehicle accident that occurred on June 15 near Woodruff, approximately 60 miles east of Clemson, South Carolina. According to troopers with the Highway Patrol, the wreck happened at approximately 12:50 a.m. when a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria driving east on I-26 hit a roadside guardrail. The 23-year-old man facing drunk driving charges in connection with the incident denies that he was driving.

Driver faces DUI charge after car wash crash

South Carolina police say that a 29-year-old man was intoxicated when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a car wash during the early hours of May 11. The Gray Court resident is facing drunk driving charges due to the alleged results of a blood alcohol test conducted while he was receiving medical treatment.
